INSPIRE THE YOUTH OF BERLIN FOR CLIMATE ACTION

The Climate Justice Camps Berlin training aims to inspire and educate on sustainable solutions to the climate crisis. It engages young students in understanding climate change, its consequences and the importance of local action for global impact.

CHALLENGE

In this two-day climate justice camp, children engage in challenge-based learning to address air pollution in Berlin. They will be able to explore air quality problems, identify sources of pollution and brainstorm innovative solutions.

IMPROVED UNDERSTANDING:

Deeper understanding of climate change, its consequences and the importance of climate justice in addressing the crisis.

Instructors Information

In this course you will have three people with a lot of experience in climate:

Waldo Soto

Business Engineer, Bachelor of Science from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Diploma in Innovation from Babson College and Diploma in Global Management from University College London. Master in Urban Management at Technische Universität Berlin. Co-founder and director of de 2811, a social enterprise dedicated to the regenerative development of communities and the environment based in Chile, Colombia, Germany and the United States.

Juliana Rivas

Sociologist with experience in social research, community development management, and management of local problems. Professional with teamwork skills, group management and social responsibility. She recently graduated from the Master in Urbanism at the Technical University of Berlin through the award of the Scholarship for Development of the DAAD agency of the German Government.

Remy Rupp

Climate Action Coordinator Europe for 2811 Social Enterprise UG. Social scientist with a background in urban environment, sustainability, and climate change. Active member of Generation Climate Europe, the largest coalition of youth-led networks on climate and environmental issues at the European level.
